Introduction Thomas Alva Edison was an inventor and businessman. He made many devices which ones using in whole word. Also there are some movies about him: The Execution of Mary Stuart,Chinese Opium Den and more.Edison is the fourth most prolific inventor in history. Thomas Edison was a modest man. He never thought that he was a leader but really he was.Early lifeThomas Alva Edison was born in Milan, Ohio February 11, 1847 to Samuel Ogden Edison and Nancy Matthews Elliott. Edison was seventh and last child in his family. In 1854 his family moved to Port Huron, Michigan. Edison went to school for only 3 months. After this, he got asked to leave the school because they thought he was stupid. Then his Mum taught him from home.Beginning of career When Edison was 12 years old he sell newspapers to passengers along the Grand Trunk Railroad line. Not long from this Thomas began published his own newspaper which was called the Grand Trunk Herald. Edison also tryed make a chemical experiments to the railroad. But experiments was unsuccessful. Than he was kicked out from his job. After Edison found a new job and saved a three-year-old child from being run over by a train. The child’s grateful father decided to teach Edison to operate a telegraph. By age 15, he had learned enough to be employed as a telegraph operator. In 1866, at age 19, Edison moved to Louisville, Kentucky, working for The Associated Press. This was his beginning of career. Marriage and ChildrenEdison married Mary when she was very young, just 16 years old. Their marriage was december 25, 1871. They had 3 children Marion Estelle Edison, Thomas Alva Edison, Jr and William Leslie Edison. Mary past away when her youngest child was just 6 years old.After 2 years Edison mareade on woman was on 15 years younger than he. Her name is Mina. Also they had three childrens too: Madeleine Edison, Charles Edison and Theodore Edison. Evaluation
Edison Died October 18, 1931 (aged 84). He was very talented person because he made fantastic electric devices which are used all over the world. Thank you very much to Thomas Alva Edison.
