Science Fair

Attn Year 7's and 8's!

As mentioned, we've been lucky to have been accepted into the Auckland Science Fair competition.  You're able to work either individually or in pairs and if you really stretch yourself and put a stellar effort in your chances are great at getting through to the Auckland finals where your experiment will be judged by professional scientists.

You're welcome to take a look at this presentation that gives you an introduction to the process.

  1. Miss H - would love to see some of the projects as they are progressing and definatly after they are finished! We've got a Science Fair later in the year and we could use the work as inspiration, we'd love to also hear what your students think about the other Auckland projects! Great stuff Miss H!

  2. We'd love to share them with you and Room 8! I wonder if closer to the time, when you're all preparing for science fair, if we could buddy up and each do the same experiment, collaborating for our results? Also, if you don't use it already, www.sciencebuddies.com has a great quiz that gives suggestions specific to your interests which is handy.
Looking forward to exploring your blog further. Miss Holland and LH3

  3. Thanks for that offer, the collaboration would be wonderful, but I think our science fair for the school is late in term three.

  4. Ours is early September so not too far off - play it by ear, the offer will remain. Otherwise, I'm sure we'll get a chance to buddy up for something else!
