Today the learners in LH3 put their heads together and made this poster that talks about the different reasons behind changes in ecosystems. All of the learning they've been doing about ecosystems is obviously paying off - it's great to see the connections they're making!
We also watched this video to learn more about the grasslands ecosystems (especially relevant as one of our groups made a grassland collage!) - do you remember the scene in The Lion King where their ecosystem was badly affected because of a change made?
That was a really good presentation! It's educational as well as fun! The link between the lion King and The grass lands is that The grass lands are a lot like the ground that the lions live in on the lion king. Also that the Lion King movie has most the same animals as in the grass land.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool video. It gives you sooo much information in it about the grass lands. The movie the lion king has so many animals the same that are in grass lands. I think that in the future we should not plant on the grass lands because they will distinct and we will have no more animals on the grass lands any more.
ReplyDeleteThis video has a strong point of view, everyone's agreeing but noone's helping make a change for the animals and ourselves. I think we can start by cutting down on the amount of fur and animal skin used for clothes, there are lots of reasons why we shouldn't!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others everyone understand's that we should stop damaging the ecosystem but no one steps up to do it.
ReplyDeleteThere's pollution, farming, poaching etc that destroy an ecosytem and a wipe out of the species can make a big difference to an ecosystem around the world.
I'm impressed by where you're taking this, Craig and Fatima :) I wonder, what could we do to make a change ourselves?
ReplyDeleteThis could be a neat thing to explore in more depth next term, when we're looking to make a change?? ;)
ReplyDeleteIf we carry on potching animals there will soon be on more animals to make up the ecosystem and it will be destroyed in that certain ecosystem.
ReplyDeleteI thought that was a cool video but it was also sad becuse it talked about how the animals are getting extinct and how the farmers are turning the farms into farms. I think if we ( mostly ) carry on killing or potching the animals, it is most likly certain that more animals are going to become extinct and most ecosysytems will die out because there no more animals around for the other living things in the ecosystemto get energy from.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a cool video if we keep killing the animals of shooting and poaching them then most ecosystems can get sick and wont work and the might come extinct and they wont come back to live.
ReplyDeleteAwesome poster and video! And I hope you have a fun and safe holiday!
ReplyDeleteI think that your Video was cool and i think i am not going to go hunting any more because of this good and nice Video.I think that all hunting people that go hunting should not hunting any more.
ReplyDeleteI really like your video and how you described about grasslands. WELL DONE:)
ReplyDeleteGreat Job guys, I never knew that humans were causing so much trouble to the world and oh yeah, what does LH3 mean?
